Transparent Sound

Transparent Sound are one of the UK's longest-running electro acts, and ten years on, they’re still going strong.

Formed in 1994 by Orson Bramley and Martin Brown, both of whom grew up hip hop, electro, '70s electronica and seminal proto-electro groups Visage and Cabaret Voltaire, they set about creating their own unique and thoroughly futuristic vision of electronic music. Their first 12" was released in 1995 on their own Transparent Sound Recordings imprint.

Since then they released two artist albums, “Emotional Amputation” on Billy Nasty’s Electrix label and “Dirty Curtains and Football Posters” on their own imprint, Orson Records. They were also involved in the successful DJ mix CD "Beatsclash Volume 1", featuring them on one CD and Keith Tenniswood (Two Lone Swordsmen) on the other.

They are constantly working in their studio, pushing their sound further, but still find time to take on live shows and DJ shows across the world. Their live show has taken them from London to Leeds, Stockholm, Malmo, Dublin, Manchester, Barcelona (Sonar), Holland (Dance Valley) and the US.

Busy, busy. They have also performed live for several radio shows, most recently for Nick Luscombe’s “Flomotion” show on XFM, which went down a storm.

Their "Variations of an Attitude" EP (which includes a Swayzak Remix, and another rework from Orson) preceded their well-received "Hair Cut Fantasy" album for exceptional.
